My Telly and I...

Hey, super long time! I just wanna make sure you guys are catching some good quality summer television. I try not to watch so much tv, but I admit I have my shows (all two of them).
By the way... While I was doing some research on what shows are on right now (and turns out I'm not interested in any), I got caught up on ABC's Lost trivia quiz.
http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/games/trivia/index.html
This trivia is a little bit hard. I don't know which university Sayid went to. I don't remember what Boone's blood type is. Man, good luck!

Firstly is a show I saw one time. America's Got Talent (NBC).
Boy, does America have talent!! I saw a guy in a fat suit lipsync to opera music while doing flips. Cool! A boy band clogged. What's clogging? They probably clog on the dancefloor and the bathtub drain. Disgusting! This middle aged guy jumproped with three girls on him. This other guy kicked himself in the head. Granted, it's tough to reach your foot to your head. However, he did it many times, putting an egg on his forehead to demonstrate the strength he's using. Anyway, watch this show! It's funny because out of all of these American talented acts, the fake fat guy lipsyncing won out of the group. I love America and her talented citizens!

Second, I got started watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on FX. Danny DeVito is the dad on this show. Oh boy, I bet a lot of you have seen this, but it's about a group of grown up brothers and sister and their dad. They own a bar in Philly. Aaand, they're just fucking funny. They're all just bad people, but oddly I can totally relate to them. Maybe not so oddly. This is good!

This show is called It's Always Funny in Philadelphia in my mind.

I looove Bravo's Project Runway, and this season has already started very nicely. EXCEPT STUPID ANGELA ISN'T KICKED OFF YET. Anyway, I really like Vincent although he's freaking crazy. I like Alison, the blonde girl. Her style is similars to Chloe. And Keith reminds me of Daniel. I really like Bradley, Kayne, Uli, and Michael. I hate hate hate Angela and Jeffrey. And I miss Malan. Oh, and I like this show.
There's this other show coming up on HGTV that's very similar to Project Runway but involves home improvement and home decorating. Anyone else interested?

That's all of my shows this summer. Once the fall lineup starts, I'll be indulging in the new season of Lost, and that's all that really matters to me. If there are any good shows on right now, holler at me. I'd love to get into some funny or some quality drama every now and then.

President Prestige

The Great Presidents Of Our Time (since February 20, 2006)
Here are quirky, useless, and slightly fun facts about some of your most celebrated American presidents:

- 9th U.S. president William Henry Harrison was inaugurated on a bitterly cold day and gave the longest inauguration speech ever. The new president promptly caught a cold that soon developed into pneumonia. Harrison died exactly one month into his presidential term, the shortest in U.S. history. (Why, why, why didn't this happen to our current president?)

- John Tyler, 10th U.S. president, fathered 15 children (more than any other president)--8 by his first wife, and 7 by his second wife. Tyler was past his seventieth birthday when his 15th child was born. (ok, wow, old people having sex is gross.)

- Sedated only by brandy, 11th president of the United States James Polk survived gall bladder surgery at the age of 17. (What. a. man.)

- Often depicted wearing a tall black stovepipe hat, 16th president of the United States Abraham Lincoln carried letters, bills, and notes in his hat. (stovepipe hat the new wallet?)

- 17th U.S. president Andrew Johnson never attended school. His future wife, Eliza McCardle, taught him to write at the age of 17. (Bonus fact about Andrew Johnson: He only wore suits that he custom-tailored himself.)

Blah blah blah... let's skip to our current president's fun fact!

George W. Bush, 43rd president of the United States, and his wife Laura got married just three months after meeting each other.

AAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW!!

Georgie is such a charmer.

The Happy Copy of Eden

MICHELLE BACHELET: LA PRESIDENTE DE CHILE!

During the first round polls, Michelle Bachelet (socialista) received 46% of the vote, so close to the majority vote which would have automatically given her the position of president. I think her strongest opponent was Sebastian Piñera, but he only received some 20% although he was the runner up. I don't remember. Both Bachelet and Piñera and other dude (Lavin something or other) all pretty much had the same campaigning promises: to work on urban crime, unemployment, public health, and housing and education services.

The run off elections were fairly close! Bachelet won 53.45% of the vote which was enough to win win win! I really didn't think Piñera would get as much as he did (46.5%). All I know is, Bachelet totally deserves it. Next time I visit Chile, GET READY TO MEET ME, MICHELLE!

She's going to do one heck of a job. Thumbs up to you, too, presidente!

Newtonmas?

It's Christmas Eve. I went last minute shopping earlier (exchanging, actually) and it seemed like nobody was out. It was odd, downtown--no one there. Then I just felt really pathetic for being out on Christmas Eve, of all things, shopping.

Goddamn consuming Christmas. I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT. I hope I get some good presents.

Please let's not forget about this Man. I'm serious.

I don't care? (Yes I do.)

I've typed out about three different versions of a self-analysis. I didn't like any of them because I sound retarded, moreso than now. But just clear my mind, I'm going to make a list of things to be cleared off my mind. The following are being cleared from my mind, as I have already stated:

2005
This year was the most of a year I've yet lived through. I'm not really sure if I would relive it in its entirety. This year went by in trimesters, if you know what I mean. The good, the bad, and the ugly. And wow, it sucked.

The Fast Paced School Year (Part 1)
Actually, school isn't going by fast enough (yeah it is). I am tired of most of my classes, ie chemistry, history, and I just want it to be over already. Thankfully, chemistry is finito. Unfortunately, blah blah i dont know I just want school to be over. School sucks.

My grandpa died last week. It sucks. May he rest peacefully in heaven.

The Uncertain Future
I don't really know what to expect from tomorrow, let alone next year. I just want some kind of plan, some kind of foresight or something, so I'm not so clueless. I mean, I should feel like I am in control of my life, and I'm not. Mostly because I don't do anything I set myself to do and because sometimes I just can't, not because I have no strength but because I don't have the ability of magic to end bullshit, aaand it sucks.

There has been a lot of drama lately.
The dramatron has attacked. It started out as a bit distant, got closer, got closer even more, and then bam! Smack right in my grill. I'll be completely vague, but damn, does it suck. It's like all of these feelings are in the pit of your stomach and at the last minute after they have all harvested for a long, long time, those feelings just rush out and spew out of every hole in your body. You know what I mean? It sucks.

Hopefully by just writing this, I'll stop dwelling on it and forget about it, at least a little bit.

I'd really like to lie in a pool of self pity for the rest of this year. I mean, it's not so long. I know I won't, but what if I could? I would hope to come out a refreshed Viviana, not a Viviana who is tired of her current outlook on life. After all, my name means lively, full of life. Am I lost in the meaning?
